Aug 14, 2014, 9:32 AM EDT

Watch as Padres outfield prospect Rymer Liriano slugs this 0-1 fastball to the third deck of the Western Metal Supply Co. building Wednesday evening in San Diego for his first major league home run

Liriano was batting .291/.362/.473 with 14 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 115 games this season between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso when the Padres suddenly called him to the bigs on August 11.

That pitch had nothing on it, but the FAAB dollars are burning a hole in my pocket.

Geez, he hit that one way out… Hopefully he can do more of that. Padres need a hitter badly.
