For the first time since July 20, the Brewers wake up this morning with some company in first place. But now they’re getting a bit of a reinforcement: they’ve activated Matt Garza from the disabled list.

Garza will return to the Brewers’ starting rotation on Wednesday against the Cubs. He missed about a month with a left oblique strain. Garza is 7-7 with a 3.58 ERA and a 104/43 K/BB ratio in 145 and two-thirds this season
