Anthony Rizzo’s MRI reveals a back strain

Anthony Rizzo has been out since August 26th, and it’s a good bet he’ll be out longer as an MRI taken today revealed a muscle strain in his lower back.

Rizzo hit his 30th homer the same day he tweaked his back. So at least if his season is over he finishes with a round number.

Or maybe that’s not too important.

I strained my back recently trying to lift up my grandmothers flap stacks after they inadvertently came pummeling down on my 7 month old son’s head when she went in for a kiss. The poor little guy is now permantly aftraid of areolas.

    shut him down…

Agree, only bad things can happen from him trying to rush back to the field. If the Cubs were still playing meaningful games it’d be a different story, but they aren’t.

Craig, I have a screenshot from the Astros Instagram account of Altuve, Castro, and Springer wearing strikeout cancer t shirts with a capital “K” on them, obviously giving the appearance of KKK the day after firing an African-American manager. Let me know if you’d like it and I’ll DM it to you on Instagram.

      Why?

      • Hard On For Harden - Sep 2, 2014 at 5:51 PM

Because Craig has NEVER alerted people to organizational gaffes during his run at HBT

is it now being construed as a racial firing? Otherwise, this would be creating news, not reporting it.

      • Hard On For Harden - Sep 2, 2014 at 5:59 PM

No, it is obviously not a racial firing. But is comically sloppy given the timing, Cranes past discrimination allegations, and all the criticism of having little minority players during McLane’s tenure. You would think the Astros would beat these things into the brains of their employees.

The Cubs (who this article was about) are wearing those shirts today and the ‘K’ is backwards.

Sorry, this is Craig’s latest post which is why I commented here. Didn’t know another way to contact him.
