Athletics assistant general manager David Forst refuted a report last week that right-handed starter A.J. Griffin was headed for season-ending Tommy John surgery. But there’s no more refuting it now. CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman confirmed Tuesday that Griffin will indeed undergo the reconstructive elbow procedure.
