Shane Robinson was optioned to Triple-A Memphis to open a spot on the roster.

As first reported by Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Cardinals have agreed to a major league contract with Cuban infielder Aledmys Diaz. Jeff Passan of Yahoo!
