Robinson Cano celebrates anniversaries, likes hashtags

Apr 2, 2014, 2:44 PM EDT

I dunno why, exactly, but this tweet #cracked #me #up:

Cano, incidentally, is 3-for-7 with a double and three walks (and the Mariners are 2-0).

Nice job by the guy at @RocNation whose job it is to tweet on behalf of Cano.

Only two hashtags? Pffff! what a n00b. At game time I usually see tweets with at least four or five hashtags, for example:
    #team2 vs #team1 at #stadium in a big duel of the #NLEast #MLB #baseball go #team1!!!

Looks silly (it can be argued it is silly) but that way people make sure their tweet shows up in searches for X hashtags.

    This is news?

By the All Star break, everyone will have forgotten about Cano and the Mariners. He can at least enjoy having October off.

The Mariners are looking, like, a real MLB baseball team!

The Wedgie era is so over; Smoak fees it, so does Ackley. Right, two wins does not a season make, but something’s different this year.

That cracked you up? What the hell is wrong with you? That was a perfectly acceptable tweet and actually quite tame compared to the usual sewage.

Hey. Give the Mariners credit. They’re 3-0.

Do we need to post the small sample size song here too?
