Photo of the Day: A tornado approaches a ballpark, Texans don’t seem to care

Apr 4, 2014, 10:30 AM EDT

This was the scene during the Frisco RoughRiders-Northwest Arkansas Naturals game in McKinney, Texas yesterday:

I love that everyone in the stands is acting casual and that the action on the field is going on as if nothing was amiss.

Texans just don’t give an eff about anything.

Just another day in The Lone Star State. Move along, everyone.

Everything is bigger in Texas- except for the fear of tornados.

your last statement isn’t entirely true, texans care very strongly about seceding from the Union

Eh, been done before. Didn’t work out so well.

That’s about the reaction you’d get from anybody who lives in Tornado Alley. When the weatherman announces a touch down, everyone goes out on the porch to look at it.

Naders n Baseball! Don’t get much better than that. It’s a spring time tradition.

My happy rear end was seated by the first base dugout watching that thing drop from the sky. It was sunny not even 10 minutes before that photo, gotta love Texas weather.

It would be helpful if you’d embed the photos in your articles instead of just the link.

Not sure where Craig Calcaterra gets his information on the location of the Stadium? It’s in Frisco, TX not Mckinney, TX , hence the name Frisco Roughriders, and yes it was a sight to see…….

maybe they are like Californians, everytime we feel a quake we are like “oh it is trembling, ok”, look at how nobody cared during the Angels/Dodgers game the other day, though in Dodger Stadium it wasnt felt as strong among the seats as in the press area.
